The moment you’ve all been waiting for is here. NAKfest 2010 will be held in beautiful San Diego California, right along side San Diego Bay. The Image above shows you how close the venues are to one another. The hotel (Courtyard Marriot) is within walking distance to the party, fields, banquet, national meeting and the golf course. The fields are directly located in front of the San Diego Bay, making NAKfest 2010 one of the most memorable in the last 10 years.Please keep checking back for more updates.

February 10, 2010…Today marks the 20 year anniversary of the Beta chapter bringing NAK to Southern California. Having spoken to several founders from SLO, San Jose and San Diego State, NAK was very different then. Taking the leap to start a chapter 300 miles away from SLO and 500 miles away from San Jose must have been a challenge in the days prior to the internet and cell phones. This accomplishment was just one more step in growing to where we stand today, in 3 states on 21 campus communities with alumni all over the world.

Although we have grown tremendously over the last 22 years, we have remained a close knit family with no chapter being more than 230 miles away from another chapter (Vegas to Riverside.) I applaud the efforts of every NAK that has contributed to keeping the vision of 11men alive and would like to wish a happy 20 year anniversary to the So Cal NAK’s, from San Diego to Santa Barbara (Beta,Zeta, Lambda, Nu, Pi, Rho, Tau)…congrats!

Our next National event will be the President’s meeting in SLO 2/27/10 where we will be at the Founding chapter to celebrate 22 years of NAK. In addition to all Presidents, we are encouraging all Alumni association Presidents to come join us . For everyone else, the founding chapter has a line up of events all weekend that will make it a memorable founders weekend.
